We would like to invite people to meet up at Chess Forum on 219 Thompson Street to play chess or backgammon. Everyone from 4 years old to 104 and more is welcome to come play everyday between 11 AM and midnight( at least). The cost is $1 per hour and it is FREE for children. Tuesday and Wednesday nights is also FREE for couples. We are hoping to spread interest in the game of chess and to introduce it to the new generation as a game of skill and as a game of fun. It helps sharpen the analytical and tactical skills for adults and children and it helps children in improving their math and reading skills.
It also helps in building their character and in teaching kids how to win with grace and lose with dignity and these two above and beyond anything else are lessons for life.
Any one interested in learning chess or on improving their game are welcome to meet up at Chess Forum everyday of the week.
