(CANCELLED) Biyak (Bike + Kayak) Excursion

Join Schuylkill River Towns for a great adventure along the Schuylkill River Trail and the Schuylkill River. Meet us at Riverfront Park in Norristown, where we will start with an easy four mile bike ride to the Betzwood Trailhead in Valley Forge National Historic Park. Participants will learn about the Schuylkill River: The Revolutionary River, and how it has played a role in the American, Industrial, and Environmental Revolutions.

Participants will enjoy snacks (provided) and a brief introduction to kayaking by Doug Chapman of Take It Outdoors Adventure Group. After we climb into our kayaks, the group will paddle back to the park via the Schuylkill River (bikes will be shuttled back from Bitzwood to Riverfront Park).

Participants must be 14 or older and provide their own bike. Helmets must be worn. Kayaks and all kayaking gear is provided.

Cost - $35.
