For the second edition of PolderPHP, we have found Mitchell van Wijngaarden prepared to speak about event sourcing. Mitchell van Wijngaarden is an independent developer and consultant living in Utrecht. He likes to experiment with new techniques seeing how they can be used in our day-to-day work. He's also a member of the Big Name developer collective.

Traditional approaches to data persistence record results rather than intentions. Event Sourcing provides us a way to do the exact opposite. In this talk, we explore the freedoms gained by throwing off the shackles of state persistence.

What language are we speaking?
All PolderPHP communication is in English, so that people of all nationalities can feel welcome. However, if all present can understand Dutch, we may just have the talk in Dutch. If the speaker can only give the talk in a specific language, we will announce it beforehand.
