Unite Against the War on Women March April 28th

Help defend women’s rights and pursuit of equality. All people should have the freedom to make medical decisions about their own care and well-being without intrusions from government, business or religious ideologies. Individuals and families have the right to choose, or reject birth control, and to determine the size of their family based on their own beliefs and values without intrusions. Join Americans all over the United States on April 28th, 2012, as we come together as one to tell members of Congress in Washington DC and legislators all over the country..."enough is enough"!

There is a meter parking lot next to the park. Not a lot of spaces.  There is off street parking around there such as near Capitol Heights and Charles Ave.  There is also a visitor parking lot for the State Capital at MLK Blvd and Central Park East.

Thanks so much Jennifer for organizing this! I was so proud to be part of our committed and spirited group today. It was cold and damp and we didn't let it stop us for a minute! Looking forward to more great events!

@Wendy...Although I left the Catholic faith 40 years ago, I do remember. I'm now Unitarian Universalist, who are strong for social justice. It also irks me that the Grand Obstructionist Pipsqueaks(GOP) are trouncing on women's rights. If I were a woman and a Republican, I would organize masses of women to leave the oppressive party and if necessary, against the Catholic hiearchy.

Very cool that there are a number of men attending. As they say in nun circles, "blessed are you among women".... gotta be Catholic to get that joke but the sentiment is real. Unfortunately I can't make it.
