Swift is a brand new programming language designed by Apple to power the next generation of iOS and OS X apps, and become a long term replacement for the venerable Objective-C platform. This talk will give a brief introduction to the language, the philosophy & influences underpinning its design, and some of the problems it solves in mobile development.
