SLOW RIDE!

  • June 6, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • Monument Square Park

Meet at Monument Square for a bike ride around town during the art walk.

Let's bike around town for the art walk and then stop in somewhere for a cozy drink or snack to talk about how the winter commutes were for everyone. Wear lights and reflective gear if you have it!

I'd love to meet some new people and enjoy some biking on these first warm-ish days of spring! Email me if you have questions about the ride or general questions about bike commuting: [masked]

Looking forward to seeing everyone! Nikki

    Hey Slow Riders!

The theme this month is Formal Wear! Come dressed in your finest, formal-est clothes. Note: Please remember that you may get bicycle grease on anything you wear!

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

Hey, all. the Bicycle Coalition of Maine is offering free Valet Bicycle Parking! We will need 4-8 people to help out. If you are interesting in helping us for 1-2 hours between 5 and 9 PM, please contact me with the times you can help. You can even be paid!

Even if you can't help, you are welcome to leave your bike in our secure parking area until the ride starts. (Unfortunately, I and one or two others will not be able to ride with you since we'll have to stay with the parking station.)

I used to do these mass rides in NYC and in San Francisco. Sometimes we'd have over a 1000 riders - our motto was: "we are the traffic." I'm looking forward to joining up with everyone on June 1.

Paul, you'll find our rides a little smaller than that. :-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
