Dear Bicycle Commuters,

A few of us from this group, along with a member of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, are organizing the bicycle component of a large Wellness Fair that is being held this Saturday, Oct 31, at the Father Hayes Center at 673 Stevens Avenue from 10 to 2. We are creating multiple bicycle skills courses for different ages, and providing helmet and bike safety checks.

See full details on our calendar.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help us. Jobs include helmet fitters, bike evaluators, and course monitors. MECHANICS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED! We can teach you helmet fit and bike checking, if necessary.

If you can come help for all or part of this event, please reply to this message and let me know the hours you can be there and if you already have any of the skills I've mentioned or will need training. Or even if you don't let me know, feel free to show up and help anyway!

THANKS FOR CONSIDERING THIS! (I know it's Halloween, but it's over by 2, plenty of time.)

- John
