Matt did a great job explaining and demonstrating how to automate EE site setup, initial deployment and regular updates using a variety of methods. It was a well-rounded talk that engaged those with years of experience and relative newcomers like myself.

It was great to get insight on how devs like Matt at big companies like Wintr approach their workflow. I'll definitely be folding in much of what I learned into my own process.

Matt Fordham is the man. It was great to see how efficiently he manages his sites using Git and Capistrano. He shared some awesome resources and discussed his deployment and hosting strategies. He took the time to explain some advanced concepts, and used plenty of live examples.

I've been using GIT with EE for a long time and anything I can learn to make that a more streamlined process would be worth it's weight in gold to me. Particularly I'm curious as to how other developers manage keeping their tables in sync across more robust upgrades or situations where freezing the content of the live site isn't an option.

    See ya'all there!

You read my mind! I was just thinking the other day, I could really use some help with deploying and working with Git on EE projects. Just haven't had enough time to investigate it.
