Welcome to the Portland DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) Meetup Group. This is a group to find peer support for living daily with the complexities of DID. This includes those living with it and those who love and support someone with DID.

The goal of this meetup group is to meet others with DID, to help you connect to those who have walked a similar path.  We share helpful tips, ideas and experiences about how we creatively get through our days in a community that has yet to fully understand or acknowledge DID.  We look at ways to educate and advocate.  We join to make friends.  We play and have fun.  We acknowledge the benefits of DID and how this creativity flows uniquely through us.  We are so much more than our traumas!  We join so that we won't feel so isolated and alone: to be completely accepted for who we are!

KEEP IN MIND: This is not a therapy group. The focus is on peer support. We do not diagnose, confirm nor dis-affirm diagnoses.  At this time, we are only accepting those who have been diagnosed DID (DSM Code #300.14) by a qualified mental health professional and those who support them.  We highly suggest that you have a strong network of support to assist in this journey of healing and acceptance.

We're 18 DID peeps!
