The Sweet Spot of the Lesbian Universe
The goal of Les Femmes PDX is to intentionally build a cohesive, harmonious, safe, thriving, happy, healthy community for Portland area lesbians on the feminine side of the scale who want to spend time with other femme lesbians for friendship, fun and... we'll leave it at that. :)
If you're new to Portland or you've been here a while, welcome! If you're just out of a relationship and forgot to make your own friends while in it (or lost them in the split), we got you! If you're a femme couple or the femme in a couple and you're missing hang time with just the girls, we are your people!
The easiest way to get to know us is at Femme au Lait, our casual Saturday morning meetup that rotates around different Portland area cafes and gets rave reviews. Often imitated, never duplicated, it really doesn't get any easier than this. Seriously! No agenda, no cliques, everyone just clicks.
When you sign up we'll ask for your ideas and what this group can do for you so you'll want to stay involved, host events, and perhaps tell a femme friend or two (or six!)
But first, a few important guidelines:
1. We lean heavily towards the L in the LGBTQEIEIO alphabet soup, so please... be a lady, be a lesbian, be femme. (We get there are various degrees of femme. You know who you are!)
2. Your main profile photo must be an identifiable photo of you. Its important, fair, and safe that your co-members know who you are. We're a private group and no one outside of our group can see our member list.
If you have a valid reason for why it's absolutely impossible to have a photo that shows your cute little face, please email us before joining.
Oh, and please use your real first name, like grownups do. :)
3. Boundaries. Know them. Respect them. Don't cross them. We don't like drama. Its as simple as that.
4. Be happy, be genuine, be you!
So come in, or out, or whatever the case may be, femme friends! You know you want to. 2014 has been rockin and we'd love for you to help us kick some meetup ass without smearing our makeup!
Laura, Wendy, and the rest of your people

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
