Even though I've played off-and-on for years, I'm a beginner and just strum to my songs.
Any style of music is great and last year discovered the blues and fingerstyle. I want to learn the little techniques that I see others using. Was into country music for years, and what I listened to is now considered oldies.
Gordon Lightfoot. He is the reason I bought my guitars in the 60's. Even though I went to the classical guitar it was because I liked the sound better. The 12-string because of him and Leo Kottke. All these years later, I still love their music.
My name is Kathi. I've had a classical guitar & 12-string since the late 60's. Taught myself to play cords but would put it away for many years at a time. I pulled it out again last year and realize I will never progress until I play with others.
This is a great group. They are friendly and I will come again as it's so nice to be around others with the same interest. The players were way over my level but still gave me motivation wanting to learn more.
