A new play by Playwright, Miriam Feder

Opens November 9 for 11 Performances:

Ephemory is a coming of age/falling through age story of legacy, family, immigration, war, and love. Carole and Ruth—mother and daughter—pack for Carole’s move to an assisted living facility. Handling keepsakes triggers Carole’s memories and Ruth’s questions. Carole’s stories of immigrating to New York in 1938, losing track of her family as war swept the continent, and finding, reuniting and providing for the survivors are so vivid, they play out before us. The stories allow Ruth to glimpse the resourcefulness and magnificence of her Mother, even as Carole’s faculties are diminishing. Ephemory makes this journey through music, movement, images and conventional scenes. The play is Directed by Debbie Lamedman.

Dear Patrons, I am sharing below an email received from Playwright Ms. Miriam Feder ~

"Hello friends Tomorrow night we are a week away from moving Ephemory into her lovely theatrical home-to-be at The Headwaters for tech-week, opening night, November 9, and the 10 more performances that follow

( . It’s crunch time for everyone in the cast and crew and very, very exciting. It’s a great honor to have everyone working so hard to bring this production to the stage and it’s very exciting for me to watch the characters come to life. And we all learn so much on the journey. For example I’ve learned that the next time I costume a show I’m definitely buying a nice metal rack. Of course the last important aspect of any theatre production to fall into place is the audience—and what an important part that is.

I really hope to share this show with a lot of people. I know there’s universality in the subject matter and a lot of natural constituencies for the show. I hope people will brave the rain and journey to The Headwaters—it’s not really far or complicated—although you may well have lived in Portland all your life and not been to this little corner of town. See the pps below if you need easy directions or dinner suggestions.

Ephemory is a personal story. Many of you will recognize the bits and pieces of my Mother, both as an elderly woman losing her memory, and glimpses of the young woman who fled NAZI Germany and made a life for herself in the US. Ephemory is a universal story: a coming of age and falling through age story about legacy, family, immigration and life. I can’t wait to share it with you and I hope you can bring groups of friends to the theatre .

It’s an uplifting evening and appropriate for ages thoughtful-teen and up. On Facebook ( and my website
( , I’m posting moments and also dusting off the character pieces I developed alongside the play. I’m filling these out with some photos of the real people. We have a Facebook" Miriam Feder~

I am Looking forward to see all of you there this Firday night.  Reminder, we are invited to join her and the casts at the opening night reception reception at the Theater right after the play!

Ticket purchases online always carry a convenience fee. Box office Tickets charges a very small fee and that’s why I use them. I think all ticket buyers should expect this when buying online. We will open the theatre 20 minutes before the show. Thanks!!

    Hello! Patrons and Attendees,

We have been invited to attend the Opening Night post reception with the cast and crew at the theater!

    Note from Miriam Feder, playwright~

"This Friday night after the opening of the play, they will have wine and beer and fizzy water and a few snacks right in the theater lobby for the audience and cast and crew. This means we’ll get to visit a little bit with most people— Miriam Feder, Playwright and Producer of Ephemory.

I will try to get us all sitting together. I prefer to be in front center rows. So you are welcome to set where ever you wish. See you all there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
