Where'd You Get Your Information From, Huh?

Skeptics in the Pub, January
What's the first thing you do when you see a link shared on your Facebook page? How about when you hear a politician quote a statistic on the radio or in the newspaper?
There is no shortage of information that we are inundated with on a daily basis, but how do we recognize the crème de la crème from the crap?
Skepticism provides an effective toolkit to guide us through the media landscape. From the NIH, the journal Nature, to A guide to getting the best information possible, and an open discussion with all of you about how you do the same.

This sounds way too cool for school. I've only been to this location for this event when it was warm, where do we meet when it's January?

Seriously, it shouldn't be a monologue.

oh don't worry, that was just some ol' self deprecating humor. Or an attempt at least. This one's going to be very interactive.

I would like to come, but due to bad planning I'm not sure how my evening schedule will work out. Also I'm a nervous wreck when meeting new people. Will there be defibrillator paddles and/or smelling salts available?

Sad to miss this focus topic. As a teacher, I need to do this often with my students. Please tell me this is an ongoing topic. I could use more input and strategies.
