Join Portland Trails Trekkers for a Friday night hike as we explore the hidden oasis known as Marshall Park in SW PDX on Friday, 10/18 @ 5:15 pm. The 25-acre park boasts a scenic 400-ft canyon and several cascading waterfalls. This will be a hilly, 3-mile hike and trekkers are encouraged to wear hiking boots/trail shoes (leave the flip-flops at home), wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water/Gatorade. This will be an adults-only hike (no one younger than 18 years of age) and the event should be considered a moderately fast-paced hike. Trail Trekkers will be required to carry a flashlight/headlamp and carry a whistle as we will be finishing this hike in the dark.
The hike will be moderately strenuous (due to the 4 or 5 hills we'll hike) and will be a 'mindful' event; and our dogs will be also be allowed on this hike. The hike should last till approximately 7:15 pm. Marshall Park is an undiscovered gem of a park. If you are unable to attend this hike, please update your RSVP.
