Portland Translators, Interpreters, Linguists Meetup

Thanks to everyone who attended the last Meetup! We are now planning to meet once a month. For this coming powwow, we will be back in SE at Roadside attraction (1000 Southeast 12th Avenue Portland, OR) at 7PM January 17th. Also, we welcome our newest members! We now have a long-time AsL interpreter amongst us.

Location: Please look for the Meetup sign when you arrive. Also, we have a "DISCUSSION" page going on the Meetup site (just sign into Meetup.com, go to our group, and click Discussion), where you can update members with anything intriguing in your world of translation, interpretation, and/or linguistics.

Excerpt from our last previous emails: Based on your profiles, our group is full of globetrotting, exciting, and talented people! In interpretation for example, we now have a DSHS-certified Spanish interpreter, a medical interpreter, and a recruiter for a telephonic interpretation company. Combined with our translators and other linguists, we collectively dabble, speak, and work in Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian, Arabic, Portuguese, Hungarian -- and even some Catalan!
