This is a real classic with something for everyone. Old growth forest along a burbling creek. A tucked away waterfall. A very pretty little lake, totally unscarred by fire. And last but not least, a final push up to an inspiring viewpoint encompassing four volcanic peaks and (unless haze prevents it) downtown Portland.

We will meet at 8:15 for an 8:30 departure from the Gateway park and ride, southeast corner.
