The P:earfect Party: An All-Meetup Super Party and Benefit Fun-Raiser for p:ear

Mark this free party on your calendar right this instance! Saturday night April 13th will be one for the records...

We call it The P:earfect Party!

What is p:ear? Now in it’s 11th year, p:ear is a private, non-religious outreach for homeless youth that provides food, clothing, mentorship, positive peer and adult relations, and so much more. Their gallery space is a multi-purpose 3000 Sq. Ft. studio that they have so generously provided us for our party. We will return the favor by turning over all proceeds to help them further their mission to creatively mentor homeless youth.

The P:earfect Party will be a massive, free admission all-meetup/all-facebook event where all those 21 and over are welcome into p:ear’s large old town studio space for a night of music, food, drink, and birthday revelry.

We will have two DJs spinning and a band. Liquor and beer will be sold for low prices and we will also be selling raffle tickets from our fabulous sponsors who have graciously donated some amazing door prizes!

And just to coat our livers we'll serve pizza, cake and ice cream ;)

What do you need to do? Well first, mark it down on your calendars, invite friends, and be sure to RSVP on Meetup (just one group please). There is no fee but we are encouraging donations to p:ear. Bring cash for our two bars/pizza stations (we will have I-pads with a square for card payments if need be).

What to wear? P:ear is also a great art space. Their youth artists paintings adorn their walls. The art is funky, urban, and eclectic. We are encouraging the same fashion statement for attendees bold enough to step it up. At some point in the night, we will announce winners picked by secret judges for best shoes, funkiest hair, coolest duds, etc… Those winners will receive some of our donated door prizes. Additionally we will call raffle winners of our donated prize packages.

For youth who live on the streets of Portland, p:ear is there, and p:ear cares. And from 8pm to 1am we party for p:ear!

NOTE If you are new to Meetup and hesitant to go because you don't know anyone, no worries. We have over 30 clearly recognizable volunteers on staff to keep the party going smooth. And our hosts and greeters will be there to interact and make all feel welcome.
