3rd Positive Money SHEFFIELD Meetup, Mon 23 Jan

Details
At our last meeting, we agreed three aims of the Sheffield group and we hope to develop these aims on 23 January:
- To educate ourselves about the Positive Money proposals. One of our supporters, Alan, will give a talk about how banks create money from nothing, simultaneously creating the debt which is crippling the economy. Alan will be using the new presentation material that he has produced, and we will also take afirst look at the draft Positive Money pamphlet that Peter has produced.
This topic should be of interest to new and old members alike, so come along and bring your friends!
-
To educate others: Are we in a position yet to start presenting this material to members of the public, and if so do we know of other groups that might be interested in having one of ourspeakers give them a talk?
-
To bring about monetary reform: Sheffield has five MPs. What progress are we making in educating them?
