How Bumpy is your ride?http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/3/4/a/a/event_198613482.jpeg
Transform a Bumpy Parenting Ride into a Smooth One. Join other parents for a fun and thought provoking workshop that can make a big difference in your parenting!
Are you determined to do your best for your child so that he/she will grow up to be a happy, healthy, successful person? Do you sometimes feel challenged by his/her behaviour or your circumstances or any of the multitude of details involved in parenting? If so, you are not alone! Join us to assess what areas of your parenting you are doing well in and how to make progress in the areas you need to.
Each parent will receive their own assessment wheel to fill in, using the special tool & instructions that Judi will provide. When completed, you will have a visual picture of your Parenting Wheel and you will be able to see how bumpy (or smooth!) your overall ride is. Judi will then facilitate a discussion around parenting areas that need the most improvement. We will share and contribute ideas and tips on how to solve some of the universal and individual problems that many parents are faced with. Each parent keeps their wheel as a reminder.
Areas covered will include:
Setting Boundaries Meals and Nutrition Parenting Skills Health & Safety Child's Social Life Child's Education Scheduling Developmental Milestones Meals & Nutrition Parent's Well-Being. Ages covered: 0--Teen There will be follow up workshops on other dates on the areas covered by the Parenting Wheel of Life, which can be smaller age ranges if necessary.
All this for a very affordable £8 for a two hour workshop if you pay in advance online or £10 at the door.
If you are not a parent, but either work with children in some capacity or are interested in learning more, you are welcome!
Note: Babies who will sit still and quiet (is that possible?)in their pram, seat or mum's arms are welcome. Unfortunately toddlers or crawlers will find the meetup extremely boring and might be disruptive. Anyone who brings a baby to the meetup is responsible to take them out of the room if they become disruptive.
