    Well ladies,

I'm bringing a roast turkey breast after all. I just finished cooking it. See ya this evening.

Since there will be a small crowd at the next meetup, I'll bring barbecue chicken instead of turkey breast.

Future book recommendation "Throw them all out" by Peter Schweizer which is about fixing Politics. And "The Wizard of Lies" about Bernie Madoff.

Throw them all out sounds great. Not too crazy about Bernie.

I love restaurants but I also love to cook and share. Whatever the majority decides, I'm game. If we have it at Kim's home, I will bring a roast turkey breast.

It's at my house this month, as much as I dislike the kitchen, I have an oven. ;-) and stove and microwave.

I'll be at the ballet during the afternoon so I'm going to bring something that can be served at room temp that I can keep in my car. I think brownies or homemade coffee walnut cookies.

I really like the friendly relaxed atmosphere of meeting at someone’s home. That way we can be more accommdating for imperfect arrival times. No interruptions for late arrivals requiring added chairs or even tables to the rest. Followed by distraction of their asking for menu and drink from waiter, then not being able to participate while trying to figure out their order. And we don’t have to worry about the proper division of the bill or staying too long and preventing others from having our tables. Not to mention, it may be hard to hear someone speaking at the opposite end of the table – as we won’t be able to control the background noise.
I am happy to host and to cook. It is fun, probably cheaper for all involved, and we can bond over each other's great recipes as well as the book conversations.
