What we’re about

Founded in 1988, the Potomac River Smallmouth Club (PRSC – prsc.org) is the Washington D.C. Capital Area's leading river fishing and conservation organization. With 100+ current members, we promote catch and release angling for smallmouth bass, support conservation organizations and agencies, publish a monthly newsletter, present monthly programs with guest speakers, and provide the contacts required members to connect with each other for fishing trips

While we are principally focused on smallmouth bass fishing in the Potomac River watershed, we pay attention to other destinations such as the Shenandoah, James, New, Cacapon and Susquehanna Rivers.

When you join the group, please provide both your first and last name.  That makes it easier to keep the roster straight.

Please note that because of our insurance, you must be a club member to participate in club sponsored events. Members sign a liability waiver as part of the application. Joining this MeetUp does not make you a member of PRSC. Club membership is $40 per year (January through December).

Here are three ways you can join the club:

1) Attend one of our meetings (see the calendar), fill out a membership form, and pay your annual dues.

2) Go to the PRSC website, fill out the membership form, and bring the form and payment with you when you arrive for the trip.

3) You can also mail the membership form and payment to the address on the form, but receipt will need to be verified before you are eligible to participate in a trip.

Club dues pay the rent for the meeting room at the Vienna Fire Station, speakers' expenses, rental of the Boat Night venue and the food we provide at Boat Night and Member Night
