Float Trip: Shenandoah River (Lockes to Route 7)

John Lipetz is leading this float on the main stem of the Shenandoah River from Lockes to Route 7 (5 miles).

Access Points

• Put in: Lockes on river left (GPS coordinates 39.10157, -77.96483)

• Take out: Route 7 on river right (39.12384, -77.89093); VDGIF (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/waterbodies/display.asp?id=171&section=maps) refers to this access point as Cattleman's Ferry

Both of these access points have concrete ramps and plenty of parking.

Shuttle Information

Updated 9/4: Meet at the put-in (Lockes). We'll unload the boats and shuttle the cars to the take-out while somebody watches the gear.
