Geocaching!

Would anyone be interested in geocaching?

The Prescott Fun Activities group is going geocaching, and our group is invited to come along. With both groups going, there should be a good turnout!

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

Find a "treasure" that sounds fun....and let's go find it!

See a list of the hidden caches here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?lat=34.58507&lng=-112.45906&dist=100

From the Fun group:

There are many caches around Lynx Lake, more than could be found in a single day. I'll pick out 5 - 10 that we can search for. Meet at the picnic tables by the south boat landing. And since we'll be at the lake, if you want to bring your kayak or boat...

Hope to meet up when my prospecting lesson season ends here at Rich Hill. If any of you would like to detect my claims here, let me know. I will be here in Congress till the end of April.

Hi Calvin, That sounds like fun. I have a Tersoro Lobo but not sure how to tune it. Would like to learn more on metal detecting. Would love to come down to Congress and meet you. Let me know what works. I have weekends off.

All good Darcey! Give me a call sometime, evenings are best as I am out at the claims all day. [masked]

Potluck before the hunt. Bring a dish to share.

    Ideas for the potluck:
At some of the past events, we have had pizza, buckets of chicken, casseroles, salads, mac and potato salads, chips or crackers and dip, rolls and cheese plates, Subway subs, small sandwiches, finger foods, cookies, brownies, pie, cake. I will bring a cooler full of water bottles.

There is a $5 fee to park at the lake. Meet at Costco 20 minutes early to carpool to the lake. Meet directly out from the automotive bays.
