We work together on primitive living/survival skills such as edible wild plants, shelter construction, flint-knapping, basket-weaving, and light-impact camping.
These aren't classes, these are peers coming together to share. So before attending, research what you will be doing so you can contribute to the group. (Beginners are welcome, but only those curious enough to research ahead of time.)
It is expected you'll be at least 21 years old, and capable of competently handling a knife for whittling. All participate at their own risk.
Many of our members have studied at Tom Brown's Tracker School, Jon Young's Wilderness Awareness School, the Boulder Outdoor Survival School, and Ancestral Knowledge (a local non-profit on whose board I sit). For actual classes I recommend any of these fine places, especially AK, as it is local and I am a volunteer instructor there.
We will go over the basics of turning raw stone into finished tools - namely arrowheads. I have some raw materials and spare tools, though if you have your own tools and eye protection, you're encouraged to bring it. As this is an art form, don't expect to leave with a perfect arrowhead. But, as always, it's what you learn, not what you make.
