How do you get good at product management? Practice of course. Marathoners don't just show up and run the race; they practice - distance, stamina, sprints, even core muscles.

Let's practice through product tear down and hone our product senses.

What/Goal - Mobile product tear down: Flickr (https://www.flickr.com/) and Carousel (https://www.carousel.com/) along key dimensions, such as:

• Default experience

• New user experience

• Sharing/virality

• Curation

Who - For (aspiring) PMs looking to sharpen product senses so that as PM.

Details - The session will be facilitated by Ron Blandford (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/ron-blandford/1/320/793), Neil McCarthy + other Yammer PMs, and David (http://www.linkedin.com/in/smilingdave/). We will break into 4 teams of 5 and dive into assigned topic for the chosen apps.

• 600: Gathering

• 615 - 725: Overview and product tear down in small groups

• 730 - 815: Findings discussion / presentations (10 minutes per team)

• 815 - 830: Departing
