Ali from RightScale will give a talk on ‘Scaling from startup to global enterprise platform’. Ali was cofounder of ‘PlanForCloud’, a company that he and his brother built to sell; achieving acquisition by Rightscale within 1 year of founding. Now an Engineering Director at RightScale - backed with $60M VC funding - Ali works on the RightScale platform that's used by enterprise clients include EA Games, Pearson Publishing, Intercontinental Hotels Group, PBS and Zynga. Ali’s talk will focus on the changes in tools & processes required as they scaled from two founders to working in a company with 14 engineering teams worldwide. Ali is planning on relocating from Edinburgh to Santa Barbara; this is a unique chance to hear his story before he goes.
