About the Speakers:
Mike Kinsella is Product Manager for STV’s News products (web & app). He was also responsible for their City App project (“The City in your Pocket”) which saw 4 social City Apps on iOS, Android and Responsive web, presenting rolling Hyper local news, restaurant booking, gigs, events and special deals. Mike was previously founder & CEO of Weeworld, an early avatar based social network that had some 75 Million users at its peak.
Will Jones is Product Manager for the STV Player. The STV Player delivers Catchup and Live content over a number of platforms including Web, iOS, Android, Kindle, Samsung, Fire TV, Windows, Xbox, Youview and Freeview Play. Will is responsible for the strategy and delivery of the STV Player across the numerous platforms, including ownership of new feature design, development and prioritisation. Will previously spent time at Macmillan Cancer Support overhauling their Donations, Fundraising Events and Cancer Information digital offerings. In addition, Will worked in Abu Dhabi where he delivered the first live online English Premier League service in the MENA.
