The Progress For Prostate (P4P) meet up group is dedicated to organizing fun and educational events that promote awareness and raise funds for fighting diseases of the prostate. This group is a supplement to the work of the Progress For Prostate (501c3) Colorado non-profit organization.

PROGRESS FOR PROSTATE is a Colorado based non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for battling diseases of the prostate, through research and development of better diagnostic, treatment, and support programs.
Contrary to popular belief, prostate disease is not just an “old man’s” issue. It’s an “every man” issue. Nearly everyone knows someone whose life has been changed by a diagnosis of prostate cancer or enlarged prostate disease (BPH): themselves, family member, friend,etc.
THE FACTS
FACT: NEARLY A QUARTER OF A MILLION American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009. That’s 1 in 6 men; 1 in 3 if you’re African American or have a family history of prostate cancer.
FACT: NEARLY 30,000 American men will die from prostate cancer in 2009.
FACT: The federal government’s funding for Colorado’s prostate cancer research and education is dwindling.
FACT: The national cancer research foundations that Coloradans so generously support give back only a small percentage to the programs and people of Colorado.
FACT: Progress for Prostate is a Colorado non-profit that is raising the necessary funding for the diagnosis, research and treatment of prostate cancer right here in Colorado.
FACT: Every dollar Progress for Prostate raises for prostate cancer research and education stays in Colorado.
Therefore, for the love of your grandfather, father, brother, uncle, son, husband, nephew or friend...Please, join our group to be kept aware of functions that will help us raise awareness and funds, and one day we will defeat this awful disease!
