kayaking Adventure, cross-posted event

This is a great little adventure, just did this trip and can’t wait to share it with others.
We will meet at the Milwaukee County park and ride lot 40-55 - State Fair (https://www.dot.wiscon... (https://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/parkride/lots/mil4055.htm)) at 12noon…Sharp!

Everyone needs their own kayak or canoe (kayaks are better for this trip). The water is shallow and you will bump rocks! There are no kayak rentals in the area, so if you do not have one to bring, this event is not for you.

We will caravan to a public launch ramp on lower lake Nemahbin. This is a beautiful, clear lake loaded with fish in Delafield WI, about 30 miles west of Milwaukee on the 94. We will unload the boats and then drop a couple cars off about 4 miles away where we will finish our paddle.
After paddling around an Island on the lake, and probably swimming, we will start down a small crooked stream which will take us to Crooked Lake. We will explore another island on this lake before continuing downstream to where some of the cars will be parked. This adventure will take us about 3 ½ to 4 hours depending on how quickly we paddle. The river is super clear and full of fish (bluegill, Bass, Carp, Gar, and more). This will make an unforgettable paddle!

Bring a fishing pole if you know how to fish or a snorkel if you have one. I am sure we will end up swimming in the lake, it is that nice! Also pack a lunch for the island that is on Crooked Lake. We should make it to the island stop by about 2:30ish if all go according to plan. We can get out and stretch our legs on the island make a picnic, etc…
