Earth Day Hike and Help

Help protect the planet in honor of Earth Day 2012! Join Preserve guides at a 2 mile moderately strenuous Earth Day walk and weed hike. Hikers will be given trash bags and gloves to remove non native plants from the Preserve. Get your work-out, bring back the Preserve's native habitat and beautify the hills! All attendees will receive a BPA free water bottle and chance to win a special raffle prize. The event will begin at 9 a.m.; please try to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Trailhead parking is limited, street parking and parking in the school lot is available for use. Be sure to wear appropriate clothes (long sleeves, long pants) and shoes (old sneakers or boots), a hat and sunscreen. Drinking water, power bars, work gloves and tools will be provided.
