Sunset Bat Hike

Sycamore Canyon is often a great place to watch for emerging bats in the early evening. Let’s take in a hike in the late afternoon light, as long shadows stretch across the landscape. We’ll show you some of our bat houses, discuss bat feeding habits and benefits, and search the skies for some of the bats living on the Preserve. WE will even have  a bat detector!! FAMILY-FRIENDLY: a good choice for those with children who like to hike. No dogs.

Good hike for walking exercise. Some strenuous uphill parts, but the breaks pointing out plant life, kept it fairly light.

My 14 yod and I are looking forward to it, and will be there barring any unforeseen circumstances. Any idea what time the hike will be over? (As in...should I bring a flashlight?? lol)
