Five spacecrafts are leaving our Solar System, and are on the way to interstellar space. Four of them carry a dedicated message, kind of a business card for Planet Earth.

The Pioneer Plaques (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_plaque) are a pair of aluminium plaques, featuring a pictorial message, attached to the Pioneer 10 and 11 deep space probes, respectively. The Voyager Golden Records (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_Golden_Record) are travelling on board of the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft.

New Horizons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Horizons), NASA's successful Pluto mission is the only deep space probe without such an intentional message. However, initiated and led by Jon Lomberg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Lomberg), world-renowned space artist, and veteran "message creator", the One Earth Message (http://oneearthmessage.org/) project will change this. Within a global creative act to design a crowd-sourced self-portrait of Earth for the computer memory of NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, everybody can participate.

“This will be a message from and to the Earth. The very act of creating it will be a powerful reminder that we all share the same, small planet. We truly are one Earth.” says Lomberg

In this Puli Space Meetup Special we feel deeply honoured to welcome our guest speaker
