Began cycling as a means to rehabilitate after chemo-therapy around 1992. Challenged by losing too many calories during long rides that I try to maintain a slower leisurely pace. Life is too hectic in pace and my cycling advebntures allow me torelax and take in nature.
Enjoy getting out in nature and camaraderie of others who like fitiness.
Recently sold a house and have more freedom to be more altruistic. Constantly trying to find friendships that enjoy spontaneously getting up on Saturday morning to ride and remove themselves from the routine.
Completed St. Nicholas Center sponsored ride weekend before last ...55 of 78 miles until rear tire went flat made irrepairable thus ending the ride(was cold 42 degress with 8-12 knots wind from north and west. Saturday was the Giant Pumpkin Metric 65 miler in Lafayette this weekend. Always up for a spontaneous challenge. When in Baton Rouge I'll hook up!!!
