I have always believed that yes, there must be. Otherwise, what am I living my life for repeating the same chores day in, day out?
Yes! I don't want to live my life just for the sake of living! I never run just for the sake of running. I want to lose weight, clear my head, or run away from my problems at least while I am jogging.
Too deep... Everyone should find out for themselves.
Sakaymuni Buddha was the historical Buddha on this planet earth. Anyone can become a Buddha once they find real happiness in this life. Real happiness cannot collapse upon death. It will continue. That's my understanding of what it means to become a Buddha.
Pure Land Buddhism is about finding happiness in this lifetime, not over many lifetimes. We are not born to suffer. We are living to finally grasp the happiness we are looking for. We can't wait for another lifetime to do it. It is now! The power of now!
I have always been interested in why people do what they do. I studied psychology to find out the answer and learned a lot there as well as from their Buddhist Club. I love watching good movies and talking about them. I would like to meet new people.
This group has many people who are kind, understanding, and non-judgmental. I always feel good after talking with them.
