@pydatalondon, July Meetup

Onwards and upwards! We are pleased to announce are second in our meetup series, hosted once again by our gracious hosts at Pivotal.

Two excellent speakers with all sorts of polyglot knowledge with a general theme of data visualisation. Without further ado, our speakers:

• Kyran Dale - “Getting your Python data onto a Browser” A short, practical guide to making the leap from OS based visualizations to something you can share with the world at the click of a button.

• Laurie Clark-Michalek - “DOTA Analysis: Using Python to provide insight into professional DOTA2 matches” A tour of some of the lessons learned during the development of high level tools for DOTA2 match analysis.

Lightning talks:

• Sam Colvin - "Julia by Example"

Ian Taylor - "Where am I? Geospatial processing with Python"

Doors open from 6.30pm for a 7pm start (please don't arrive before 6.30pm, Pivotal will still be using their office!).

Once again you must unRSVP if you can't attend - if you RSVP a place but don't show then you'll go on the blocked list (we've got a limited capacity and we'll have too many people wanting to attend).

The Location is Bentima House next to the Masque Haunt pub, here's a Street View: http://goo.gl/maps/hQNWW

      Thanks for letting us know Moreno, we'll be implemented a timestamp check so that we can automatically absolve any of those caught out by last minute switches.

      Cheers bud! It means a lot to us to know you enjoyed it. Nice chat in the pub too, hope to see you at the next meetup and remember the *only* guaranteed way of getting a place at the meetup is to be a speaker!
