PyLadies Austin June meetup

This month, we'll be featuring a great talk by Anne Gentle.  Anne will go through how to contribute to OpenStack, the open source cloud computing project. What is OpenStack? In a sentence, OpenStack provides open source software for building public and private clouds. What does that mean? We're a collection of open source projects written in Python that integrate to help organizations deploy and run clouds for computing, networking, and storage (both block storage for providing volumes to VMs and object storage for storing objects such as images or music files). Bring your questions and curiosity about cloud computing.

Anne Gentle is a community documentation coordinator at Rackspace for OpenStack. She serves  on the OpenStack Technical Committee and consistently advocates for OpenStack users and contributors. Most recently Anne coordinated efforts to connect OpenStack to the GNOME Outreach Program for Women, and serves as a mentor for a documentation intern with that program.

Time permitting, we'll also talk about submitting talks for PyTexas - if you're considering a talk proposal, we'll be able to help:
