Are you brand new to Python? We're going to start meeting every other week to go through Zed Shaw's Learn Python the Hard Way. It's free and you can find it right here:
Exercises 40-46. If you can't finish, don't worry, still come. We'll work out any issues together.
If you have another book you'd rather work through, the topics covered this week will be: modules, classes, object oriented programming, basic project structure.
NOTE: if you have a bit more of experience in Python and like to help people, also come... some TAs could definitely help :D
NOTE 2: This is not the right meetup to come if you are brand new to Python and haven't done the previous lessons (or covered similar topics in another book or course). We'll restart this series in September/October if you missed the beginning.
