Ren'Py + NaNoRen'O 2015!

Have you ever wanted to make a game or an interactive visual novel, but didn't know where to start? Ren'Py is a great solution!

This month's meetup will be focused on:

• Sharing ideas for visual novels / choose-your-own-adventure games;

• Detailing key features of a Ren'Py visual novel;

• Breaking off into teams (if desired!); and

• Providing resources to make sure you have the assistance you need throughout March to get your game added to the game jam.

What's Ren'Py?
Ren'Py (http://www.renpy.org/) is a visual novel engine that helps you use words, images, and sounds to tell stories with the computer. These can be both visual novels and life simulation games. The easy to learn script language allows you to efficiently write large visual novels, while its Python scripting is enough for complex simulation games.

What's NaNoRen'o?
NaNoRen'o (http://itch.io/jam/nanoreno-2015) is a month-long game jam in which developers are challenged to make a visual novel from start to finish. It was originally inspired by the more famous NaNoWriMo (National Novelist Writer's Month, which takes place in November).
