If we RSVP and the meeting is cancelled, should we normally get a notification of some kind? I tried to go yesterday because I had no idea the group wasn't going to meet.

Just a suggestion... Check your meetup calender for any event update e.g., if the event was cancelled, it will not show up on your personal calender. Tech has limitation. I always double check before showing up any meetups.

Great, thanks... except I think that can happen even if the event is not cancelled... Pretty sure it has happened to me before that an event was only visible to those of us who had joined, so if you weren't logged in, it looked like it was cancelled. Anyway perhaps this is something one of the many code-centric meetup groups could tackle as a practice project, and offer to inject a patch...?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
