This month we're doing something different!

PyLady Pooja Gada is running a coding challenge event, using the platform HackerRank (https://www.hackerrank.com/).

Here's what she has to say:

Code and compete, Super-Hero style. Need i say more?

Are you interested in coding and solving challenges which superheros (may have) faced? Well, its time to bring out the super-hero in everyone.

This is a pure coding event, where you can team up or compete individually. You are presented with various challenges of increasing difficulties. We will be hosting our challenges on a super-hero like platform called - HackerRank - https://www.hackerrank.com/ . HackerRank has support for 10+ languages and you can code in any language of your interest - Python, Java, C, C++, Ruby etc to name a few.

Who can participate? - This event is open to anybody who identifies as a woman, friends of PyLadies, and anyone else interested in supporting diversity in tech. Kids of any age and gender are welcome (no, seriously).

Prizes, Pride, Peace? - You can win loads of prizes. Every challenge/level has prizes you won't be disappointed with. We can assure you, there's plenty for everyone to win.

Need more details? - Please feel free to drop me an email at poojamclaren@gmail.com [Rachel adds: or reply to this message - I can forward it on.]

I ride public transit, can I come?

Totally! For those of you coming from Caltrain, there's a free public shuttle that goes right to LinkedIn: http://www.caltrain.com/schedules/Shuttles/Shoreline_Shuttle.html

LI also has an official shuttle which technically is employees only, but unofficially it should be fine, too.

Hope to see you there!

A big thank you to LinkedIn for sponsoring us and giving us space and food. :)
