I thought the meetup was good. Meeting # 6 was my second meeting that I've attended. Both times I've learned something new. I'm working on a web project where I'm monitoring the air quality and the I'd like to do a REST request to get data from NOAA and the air quality website that my sensor is sending data to display it and store it in a database. I could use some help/mentorship on how to build this website. I have all the parts, but just need help putting them together. Here's site where my sensors are sending data to.

Chris, looked at the link and you are a hop away from me. I'm at 46th St and 18th Ave on the other side of the lake.

If we still need another speaker, I could give a talk on the benefits and limitations of REST as an style of architecture. Thoughts?

Topically and temporally relevant: http://www.jeffknupp.... (Despite his genericization of "Idiomatic Python")

Hi all, super disappointed, but I'm going to have to renege on my RSVP. I was so looking forward to the new location! Make it a good one, and hopefully I'll be there next time.

So I've could give a talk on Peewee/SQLAlchemy, but I've also been playing with Hammock (https://github.com/kadirpekel/hammock). Any preference as to which I make into a talk? I can do the alternate one in July, if another topic doesn't come up.

For lack of input, I'll be giving a talk on Hammock, as there's less preparation time involved.

Two quick notes for our first meeting at the new location. First, please come to the front door, it is the one facing Cleveland Ave N. Secondly, the building is locked after 5pm, so someone will need to let you in. We’ll have someone greeting people at the front door, and letting them in from at least 6:45 to 7:30. After 7:30 there will be some signage with a phone number to call for someone to let you in. If you have any questions, or need anything, please let me know. In advance, thank you for all for coming.

Yes, the NetBackup Architecture group was kind enough to sponsor pizza for this meeting.

I can do a beginners talk on using the requests module to get some data from the stack overflow API. It might take a little longer than a lighting talk.

If we're doing lightning talks again, I could give a talk about my thoughts on using peewee vs. SQLAlchemy by example.
