PyRVA.__init__()

This is our inaugural meetup! Visit the Farmhouse for a refreshing drink and discuss Python with the group. Laptops (or other Python-capable devices) encouraged. If you can't make it right at 6PM, don't worry. The coffee shop is open till 8PM and our discussion should be very informal.

For those who are just getting started, we can show you some great tools like pip, virtualenv, PyPI (not to be confused with PyPy) and discuss the differences between Python 2 and 3.

For those who can explain all the nuances of how init() differs from new(), bring your favorite Python talk (PyVideo.org (http://pyvideo.org/)), Python module (the Cheeseshop (https://pypi.python.org/pypi), GitHub (https://github.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=language%3APython&type=Repositories&ref=advsearch&l=Python)) or tool built in Python.

We'd also like to discuss ideas for future meetups, including talks, hackathons and workshops.
