What we’re about

Python at the Point meets in Lehi, halfway between Salt Lake City and Provo on the second Thursday of the month at high noon (12pm).

We are the originators of Utah Python, and are working with other Python groups in Utah to increase visibility and availability to Python meetups, resources, etc.

• SLCPython - Meets in Sugarhouse on the first Wednesday of each month, an urban neighborhood in Salt Lake City.

• Python Utah North - Meets on the third Thursday of each month in Logan.

This list of tools in the python ecosystem is large. Just package management includes: poetry, pyenv, pip, flit, hatch, pdm, pipenv, etc.
Then there is also black, flake8, pylint, ruff, uv, mypy, pyre, pyright.

What is the state of the python ecosystem tooling these days? What tools should you use in this crazy landscape? What is the difference between all these tools?

Nick Humrich will attempt to walk you through this maze and help you understand what all these things do and why they exist.
