August Show&Tell

Details
UPDATE (8/11): So far we have two great Show&Tell presentations lined up this month:
-
"Crowdsourcing Clinical Research", Mike Sinn (@mikepsinn (https://twitter.com/mikepsinn)): Due to the prohibitive costs of research, we know very little about how environmental, dietary and other factors influence our health and well-being. As a result, millions of people are suffering from chronic conditions. These conditions are exacerbated by hidden triggers and could be alleviated by yet undiscovered cures. A new developer platform called QuantiModo (https://app.quantimo.do/) is attempting to dramatically accelerate the pace of clinical discovery by aggregating and analyzing as much self-tracking data on symptoms and their predictors as possible.
-
"Tracking for Athletic Performance”, Douglas Hilbert (@douglashilbert (https://twitter.com/douglashilbert)): I will give an overview of the various health & fitness metrics I’ve tracked and what I’ve learned so far: blood tests, hormone tests, gut tests, urine tests, genetic tests, sleep, HRV, diet logs, ketosis, supplementation & exercise.
NOTE: We still have availability for a couple more presentations this month - if you are interested in sharing a QS story, let us know ( http://bit.ly/1JAwgBM ). We're interested to hear about what you are tracking and learning. It's a great opportunity to take the time to collect your thoughts on a project (or potential project) and get helpful feedback from a QS-friendly crowd.
ORIGINAL MEETUP ANNOUNCEMENT (7/30):
Please join us on August 18 for a Show&Tell meetup of member-contributed presentations. We're inviting our nearly 300 member-base to volunteer to share their stories of self-tracking on any topic -- whatever you're passionate about, we want to hear about it!
To help us organize and schedule presentations, we've made a simple form for you to submit your talks:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1FrCjg9VLloAYKeQrk0iegPA6BkuJz2qppRKser6gC-4/viewform
Leading up to the meetup date, we'll post an official list of planned talks.
In the meantime, we recommend checking out out a couple of awesome presentations from QS15 for inspiration:
