I first learned in junior high but developed a passion for the language after living in Florida for a Summer. After that, I have tried Instant Immersion cds, a computer program and a class at the University of Louisville but none of those have stuck. I learned mostly vocabulary and could recognize words, but not speak the language. After three mission trips to Spanish speaking countries, I found a Spanish language class in Milwaukee lead by a native spanish speaker and enjoying learning Spanish in a way that has allowed me to function and enjoy the language. The class has helped speak and learn Spanish more than any other method and most importantly retain the knowledge.
Intermediate and slowly becoming advanced. Conversation is what I need to advanced more as I know three tenses now and need to learn more to have more advanced conversations.
I attend a class once a week and practice Spanish in the class with conversations and repeating sentences and phrases. You can find out more information about the class by going to: http://rositaspanish.com/.
Since High School, I have had the ability to pick up foreign languages easily and my passion for the Latin culture and speaking Spanish started while living in Florida. I am looking to have more conversational practice.
