MOMA PS1: Warm Up! & Dance!

NOTE: See Comments from your host at the bottom of this section...

MoMA PS1 presents Warm Up 2014, beginning June 28 and taking place every Saturday this summer through September 6. A New York summer staple now in its 17th year, MoMA PS1’s highly anticipated Warm Up outdoor music series continues its tradition of introducing audiences to the best in experimental live music, sound, and DJs—both local and international—across a range of genres.Warm Up supports both established and emerging artists by creating a platform that allows for experimentation and providing a space for collaboration, new material, and side projects. Warm Up is held in MoMA PS1’s courtyard, which this year will feature an installation by New York architecture firm The Living (David Benjamin), Hy-Fi, the winning design of the 15th annual Young Architects Program (YAP). M. Wells Dinette will be open for cocktails, and they will be serving grab-and-go summer fare in the courtyard for Warm Up Saturdays. The series is programmed by a curatorial committee selected by the museum to represent a wide spectrum of expertise and experience in music, sound, and the performing arts, resulting in a unique lineup of artists that explore, interpret, and combine genres. Selected by Klaus Biesenbach, Director, MoMA PS1, and Chief Curator at Large, The Museum of Modern Art; and organized by Margaret Knowles, Curatorial Assistant and Warm Up Producer, MoMA PS1 and Eleanor McKinney, Director of Visitor Services, MoMA PS1, the Warm Up 2014 curatorial committee includes Dean Bein, Head of True Panther Sounds; Jonathan Galkin, Co-Founder of DFA Records; Eliza Ryan; Brandon Stosuy, Senior Editor for Pitchfork; Imogene Strauss, of Cool Managers; Matt Werth, Label Head of RVNG Intl. Warm Up will feature rotating stage installations by local New York design talent—including CONFETTISYSTEM, Chen Chen and Kai Williams, Fort Makers, Fort Standard, Nightwood, and The Principals—organized by Jocelyn Miller, Curatorial Assistant, MoMA PS1. Special thanks to Union Beer Distributors/Great Brewers and Ace Hotel New York.

We are inside. When you get inside, there is an outdoor room to the right of the main yard. It's the room where the food and drink concessions are. We will be in this room or check back frequently of we are not. Once in, of we lose each other this is the room where we will check back for each other

Hi all, To make it easy for everyone to find me and the group later, I/we will be in front of the TD Bank (big green sign) which is right next to the PS1 entrance at 3:20PM. I will send out an update of what I am wearing. My cell number is[masked]; but if you are late please be aware that I may not hear your call so sending a text is better. If you don’t hear back from me right away, check back here (the event page) for updates on where we are inside. See you later.

    Hello,
Looking forward to see all of you tomorrow. I have moved the meeting time to 3:30PM. I hope that doesn't inconvenience anyone and give you a little extra time to make it. I will be standing in front of the TD Bank that is next to the PS1 entrance at 3:20PM. I will leave my cell number here tomorrow by noon so please check back for that and any updates. See you soon!
