Please go to http://www.hopstop.com/ for public transit directions and
http://www.mapquest.com/ for driving or walking directions. You can park in the lot in back of the Overlook for free on Saturdays.
Events will take place in all kinds of weather, but if it's pouring or snowing hard on the morning of the event, the Leader may email everyone to cancel that day's hike, however, this is very unlikely. We had hikes in the pauring rain and it was a great deal of fun since we had the 500 acre park all to ourselves.
You should join this group if you want to exercise and meet some great people while doing so. The walk is quite beautiful and scenic - expect to see racoons, hawks, rare birds, exotic plants and trees. If you have a dog and want to take them, feel free but you can't leave them off leash. Bring your single friends as well.
Each week we have a different theme, however, we always aim to walk through the park and exercise so you can expect to hike at least 2 miles.
Please RSVP each week.
See you there!
