"WashMO 100" (A casual, local Century Ride)

We are riding a century ride!

The day will start out at 6:00 AM at Cowan's Cafe in Washington (114 Elm St) for breakfast. After breakfast, we will begin our plan of attack for our local century! We have a few different ideas for century route options.  We want to see as many people as possible be able to ride as many miles as possible.  Nothing compares to the feeling of saying "I can't believe I rode 100 miles!" At this time we are planning to ride a 66 mile loop out to Eureka and back. When we get back to Washington, we will  break for lunch.  After lunch, we plan to ride around town and then out to the loop at a nice recovery/post lunch pace, then end the day on the riverfront trail.

Route 1 info HERE

Route 2 info HERE

We are inviting anyone who is interested to join us and ride as far as you feel you can go. We will have a contact person available to pick you and your bike up and bring you back to the river if you have problems or you choose to not finish the route.

You are responsible for bringing your own drinks and refill drinks, ***your own lunch***, and you own "fuel food" for the road. There will be no designated rest stations and no SAG support. There are a couple of convenience store stops available on these routes.

***If you would like, we have a volunteer to take orders for Subway Sandwiches for lunch.  If you would like Subway, please bring $7 (to cover sandwich and a snack) and place your sandwich order at the start of the day.  The order will be placed and picked up and ready for you at the River Front when we break for lunch***

After the 100 mile ride, we will pick a local restaurant and end our day with a nice, well deserved dinner together.

We hope to see you on July 13th!!!

I have 3 guests coming from STL to ride. If they don't meet for breakfast, due to their travel time, would it be possible to meet at flagpoles after breakfast - say 7am?
