This book club is for those of us who love a good read and meaty discussion on the latest and greatest theories and rhetoric of politics and the economy... (note, we're not all that radical, or ridiculous, but it's a catchy name!).

We're interested in consumer behaviors and the relationships of capitalism and democracy, with a side of sustainability and long-term thinking...

You can get a sense of the types of books we read from previous meetups, and we've got a discussion going on 'Future Books' on the Message Board (http://www.meetup.com/Ridiculously-Rad-Readers-of-Politic...); add your own suggestions so we can put together a great schedule of reading.

Meet up locations will be close in. As the group forms we can settle in on a place or two.

Whooo hooo...

“Politics/Economics are my recent fascination, though i have trouble finding books in the subject, outside of the mainstream "Economic Hitmans"s and "Shock Doctrine"s. I enjoy learning every perspective in order to properly evaluate a subject/opinion”
