Raleigh - Boating is fun and we'll show you how. Raleigh Sail and Power Squadron (RSPS) is a non-profit organization of sail and power boaters in the Raleigh, N.C. area dedicated to promoting safe boating through education. RSPS is one of over 450 squadrons that comprise the United States Power Squadrons®, an organization of approximately 45,000 members dedicated to the sport of recreational boating. We support the sport through organized events such as rendezvous and cruises, classes and civic service projects. Check out the offical web site at: http://www.rsps.org. We have monthly membership meetings with great speakers and subjects that interest to most boaters; We offer a large selection of courses on seamanship, navigation, weather, engine maintainance, sailing, cruise planning, marine electronics, gps, ... We have organized cruises on local lakes, other lakes in NC/VA, and coastal cruises/rendevous from Norfolk VA to Beaufort SC.

The RSPS membership is a much larger membership then what is represented by the meetup site.   We normally have about 40 to 60 members at most membership meetings.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
